BIAYR Workshop Series – Mindfulness for Healing After a Brain Injury – Session 1

Free 2-hour workshops which consist of:

• Guided practices for brain injury including body scan, mindful movement, awareness of breath, thoughts, and emotions

• Facilitated group activities, inquiry and discussion that promote selfawareness and self-compassion

• Assigned homework encouraging participants to cultivate a daily mindfulness practice

Learning objectives include:

• Gaining insights into your mind and body connections

• Understanding how mindfulness can promote effective pain management, recovery and healing

• Learning how to use mindfulness to meet both physical and emotional challenges such as pain, headaches, stress, depression, and anxiety

• Incorporating mindfulness into your daily life
